Departments of Anatomy - which one is for you?

First of all, you can't choose.
Here's the setup:

Both Departments are found at Klinikak, in the same building.

The 1st Department of Anatomy has the following curriculum structure:

1st semester - Locomotor System (muscles and bones)
2nd semester - Internal Organs
3rd semester - Neuroanatomy
4th semester - Everything is reviewed

The 2nd Department of Anatomy has the following curriculum structure:

1st semester - Locomotor System (muscles and bones)
2nd semester - Neuroanatomy
3rd semester - Internal Organs
4th semester - Everything is reviewed

So, which Department will you be in?

It depends on which year you start your studies. I came to Semmelweis in the Fall of 2003 and I was in the 2nd Department of Anatomy.
Students that began in the Fall of 2004 were in the 1st Department of Anatomy. And so on.
So, if you begin your studies in 2007, you will be in the 2nd Department of Anatomy.
(If you begin your studies in Fall of 2008, you will be in the 1st Department of Anatomy. And so on.)

And what is the difference between the two?

Other than the setup, some say they require more details in the 1st Department and that they have more Histology slides in the 2nd Department.
Don't listen to the rumors - tradition is the sole reason why these two Departments are split!
You will learn the subject of Anatomy independent of which Department you are in. That's all.
So, the only difference is the semester structure (see above).
