Budapest Zoo

I went to the Budapest Zoo the other day, together with some of my friends. We wanted to play around with our cameras and figured the Zoo would be a great place for some cool shots.

The Budapest Zoo is located right next to the Heroes Square (yellow metro to Hösök tere).
Entry is very cheap - 1700 forints or 2500 forints if you want to enter as a 'supporter guest', donating some extra money to the zoo.
A smart, Hungarian guy in the ticket line suggested that we got together with his friends, because that would give us group discount. If you are a group of 10 or more people you only pay 900 forints pr person. Excellent.

It is obvious that a zoo is a place for children to have fun - and grown-up medical students to take pictures.
A huge part of the zoo was under construction when we were there, so I expect it to be bigger and have more animals later on this Summer or in the Fall.
Anyway, we made a brisk walk around the entire area, stopping only to take pictures, and we managed to spend three hours there.
I highly recommend people to go there one sunny afternoon, although if it is too warm the animals tend to hide out in the shade.

The newborn rhinosaurus (see big picture above) was quite the charmer and attracted the largest crowd that day.
