What is the official website of the University?
The official website for Semmelweis University (former SOTE, now SE) is: http://www.semmelweis-univ.hu
The official one for the English Program at Semmelweis University is http://www.semmelweis-english-program.org
http://www.sote.hu
Semmelweis University changed their name from Semmelweis Orvosi Tudomanyi Egyetem (SOTE) to Semmelweis Egyetem (SE), so the http://www.sote.hu website is probably going to change very soon, but there are still some departments that use this as their official website!
How do I apply?
The application process for English students is handled by the University, but the finances (paying tuition etc.) is handled by College International.
The application process is simple: You send your papers to the university and you have to take an entrance exam.
After you pass the entrance exam and the following interview, you have been admitted to the university.
Where can I take the entrance exam?
The entrance exams take place all over the world, but more frequently in countries from where most of the students originate (Norway, Sweden, Israel etc.)
I took my entrance exam in New York City, but that was after I personally contacted the university and they arranged it for me (they had a faculty member at the New York Medical College that had the entrance exam and interview with me).
So, contact the university (visit the English Program website) and see if they can help you.
How much does it cost to attend the English Program?
Currently the tuition fee is USD 10.800 for two semesters (one academic year).
