My fourth year 2006/07 - Public Health

My practice teacher was Dr. Ongradi.

Public Health is a very important subject! No question about it.
Every single health-related political decision is made based on public health research and practice.
Vaccination regiments, nutritional guidelines, treatment of infections on a population level etc. It is all part of Public Health.

The Department of Public Health is great. They are on time, they are predictible (!!) and their tests are fair (they only ask things covered during the semester). And best of all: Every group covers exactly the same material (same slides!)

Since Public Health involves a lot of statistical data analysis and "this should be obvious" stuff, there were some students that didn't like the course.
I personally believe that Public Health should have been limited to one semester and instead have Radiology for two semesters (since a single semester of Radiology is not enough).
BUT, comparing the two departments, Public Health was just amazing at organizing things. They had all their practices in pdf-files online, an updated website and they told us everything we needed to know early in the semester. So I'm glad it was the other way around.

So, although some of the material is repetition (from other classes), I think you will enjoy Public Health.

My midterms are in My Notes!
